Rangat, Jan. 11: The two-day Beach Sports Festival was organized by the Tourism Department in coordination with the Office of the Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman, Gram Panchayat, Nimbutala, and other line Departments, under the Calendar of Events 2025–2026 of the Andaman & Nicobar Administration, at Raman Bagicha Beach, Nimbutala, with enthusiastic participation from the local community.
Various sports events such as Beach Volleyball, Beach Kabaddi, and Tug of War were conducted for both men and women. In addition, entertainment activities including Musical Chair and Passing the Ball were organized exclusively for women participants. The events witnessed active participation and created a lively and festive atmosphere at the venue.
The Beach Sports Festival concluded today, with a closing ceremony held at Raman Bagicha Beach, Nimbutala, which was graced by Shri Vikash Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Middle Andaman, as the chief guest. He conveyed his appreciated the enthusiastic participation. The ceremony also featured prize distribution by the chief guest to winners and participants.
The successful conduct of the festival reflected the Administration’s commitment to promoting tourism, sports, and community participation at the grassroots level.
