Diglipur, Jan. 12: The Department of Rural Development & Panchayat, organized a Block Level Training Programme on ‘Strengthening Local Governance – Training Elected Representatives on the Principles and Objectives of PRIs (Theme-8)’ today in the Conference Hall of the Gram Panchayat Subashgram. The programme aimed at enhancing the capacity of elected representatives, particularly Pradhans and Ward Members, to promote transparent, accountable and participatory governance at the grassroots level.
Shri Kiran Kumar, Domain Expert (IT), RGSA, as the Resource Person provided valuable inputs on strengthening local governance, the use of the Local Indicator Framework (LIF) to assess governance performance, and monitoring developmental progress for effective service delivery.
Shri M. Rajendra Kumar, Block Development Officer, CD Block Diglipur welcome the participants of the programme. The sessions also focused on social audit, Special Gram Sabha, and practical aspects of preparing the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP). An interactive discussion and feedback session was held, and certificates were distributed to the participants.
