Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 28: The C&AG of India’s Branch Office at Andaman & Nicobar Islands observed Audit Fortnight, which commenced with the celebration of Audit Diwas on 16th November, 2025. The Audit Diwas traces its origin to 16th November, 1860, the day on which Sir Edward Drummond assumed office as the first Auditor General of India.
This year the celebration at the Branch office at Sri Vijaya Puram comprised of a Quiz Competition on 17th November and a stakeholder meeting today. Shri Aman Gupta, IAS, Secretary (Finance), A&N Administration graced the occasion. The focus of stakeholder meeting was to share insights of evolving audit processes and digital advancements with the audit entities, and to get feedback and suggestions for improvement of audit efficiency.
The stakeholder engagement meeting marked the end of the Audit Diwas celebrations.
