Car Nicobar Hosts Workshop on PARAKH Rastriya Sarveksan 2024 Result Dissemination and Holistic Progress Card Implementation

Car Nicobar, Oct. 6: The District Level PARAKH Rastriya Sarvekshan 2024 result dissemination and Holistic Progress Card (HPC) implementation workshop was successfully conducted at the Conference Hall of Education Office, Car Nicobar, on 06th October 2025, marking a significant step towards enhancing educational outcomes in the region.

The daylong workshop witnessed active participation from 40 master trainers who will spearhead the implementation initiatives across schools in the district. The Principal of the State Institute of Education (SIE) graced the occasion as the chief guest, while Shri Jacob, Education Officer, Car Nicobar, extended a warm welcome to all participants.

In her address, the Principal SIE emphasised the critical importance of identifying root causes in areas requiring immediate intervention, urging teachers to adopt data-driven approaches for meaningful change, especially improving the FLN skills of students. Shri Swapan Paik, CRC Coordinator, GSSS Sawai, also graced the occasion with his presence.

Dr. Bency Joy, Faculty, SIE, conducted comprehensive and insightful workshop sessions that delved deep into the PARAKH Rastriya Sarvekshan 2024 findings with a specific focus on the Nicobar District’s educational landscape. Through interactive presentations and data-driven discussions, participants gained valuable insights into student performance metrics, learning gaps, and areas requiring immediate attention. The analysis revealed areas of excellencewhile highlighting areas of weakness, especially in mathematical reasoning, scientific inquiry skills, and English language comprehension that need focused intervention strategies.

The workshop extensively covered the multi-dimensional implementation framework of the Holistic Progress Card (HPC) system across all educational stages, from Balvatika (pre-primary) to Grade XII. The sessions elaborated on the HPC’s comprehensive assessment approach, which moves beyond traditional marks-based evaluation to encompass cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains of learning. Detailed guidance was provided on documenting student progress, tracking competency development, and maintaining continuous assessment records that reflect each learner’s holistic growth and development throughout their academic journey.

A key highlight of the workshop was the development of school-wise and CRC-wise action plans developed by the participants, aimed at improving student competencies systematically. These master trainers will now cascade the training to all teachers across Car Nicobar, ensuring widespread adoption of best practices and improved learning outcomes throughout the district.
