CD Block Little Andaman Conducts Training to Foster Synergies between Rural Youth and PRIs

Little Andaman, Dec. 16: The CD Block, Little Andaman, conducted a training programme today on the theme “fostering synergies between rural youth and Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) for sustainable community development.” The programme aimed to strengthen collaboration between rural youth and local self-governance institutions to promote inclusive and sustainable village development. Gracing on the occasion, the Pramukh, Little Andaman highlighted the vital role of Panchayati Raj Institutions in nurturing leadership qualities among rural youth and encouraging community-led development.

In his address, the Block Development Officer (BDO) emphasized the importance of active participation of rural youth in grassroots governance and development initiatives.

The technical session began with Ms. Deepa Biswas, Domain Expert (Livelihood), who delivered an insightful presentation on the role of Panchayati Raj Institutions in sustainable community development.   Shri G. Lokanadham, District Employment Officer (DEO), DDU-GKY, discussed about skill development opportunities, livelihood initiatives, and various Government schemes aimed at enhancing employability and self-reliance among rural youth.
