
Sri Vijaya Puram, March 2: A training programme under the Rashtriya Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (RGSA) on the topic ‘Addressing Child Needs through Bal Sabha and strengthening Bal Sabha’ was conducted by C.D. Block Prothrapur in the Community Hall, Gram Panchayat Calicut on Feb. 27. The training aimed to enhance awareness about the importance of Bal Sabhas and to strengthen mechanisms for addressing the needs and concerns of children at the grassroots level.
Shri Yaghambaram, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Calicut shared his valuable insights on the importance of empowering children through Bal Sabhas and encouraging their involvement in community development processes. In her address, Smti. Gurjeet Kaur, BDO, Prothrapur highlighted the significance of child participation in local governance and the role of Panchayati Raj Institutions in ensuring child-friendly villages.
Ms. C. Vijya, Domain Expert from the Directorate of RD, PRIs and ULBs, conducted detailed sessions on the objectives, functioning and strengthening of Bal Sabhas. The programme concluded with distribution of DDU-GKY course completion certificates to the candidates who successfully completed their skill training.
