Sri Vijaya Puram, March 25: C.D. Block Prothrapur, in collaboration with Gram Panchayat Calicut, Beodnabad and Sippighat will be organising a Block Mela 2026 on March 28 & 29 at the playground of GSS Calicut. The Mela is being organised with the objective of showcasing and promoting the products prepared by the members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) of DAY-NRLM under C.D. Block Prothrapur. Various stalls will be set up displaying locally made products, handicrafts, food items, and other SHG initiatives.
The event will also provide a platform for different Departments and organisations to create awareness about their schemes and services for the benefit of the public. Cultural programmes and other activities will form part of the Mela. The general public have been invited to attend the Mela, support the SHG members, and make the event a grand success.
