
Sri Vijaya Puram, March 5: The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) successfully organized a Chess Simultaneous Exhibition (Chess Simul) yesterday evening at the Marina Walkway near the main gate of Marina Park, Sri Vijaya Puram.
The simul was conducted by International Master, Akshat Khamparia, a renowned chess trainer and promoter from Madhya Pradesh. Notably, he is the first player from Central India to achieve the prestigious International Master (IM) title.
During the event, Akshat Khamparia played multiple games simultaneously against several local and budding chess players from the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Moving from board to board, he handled each game with ease and engaged the participants in exciting games that attracted the attention of many spectators who gathered along the Marina Walkway near Marina Park to witness the unique chess spectacle. The three best players who performed exceptionally well and put up a strong challenge against IM Akshat Khamparia during the simul will be felicitated at an upcoming chess event.
The Chess simul provided a wonderful opportunity for young chess enthusiasts to play against an International Master and gain valuable insights into the game. Participants also interacted with IM Akshat Khamparia, who shared encouraging words and useful tips for improving their chess skills.
