Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 11: A meeting was held in the conference hall of the Secretariat under the Chairmanship of the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Sports,) A&N Administration, Ms Chanchal Yadav, IAS in connection with the conduct of the 10th edition of the Andaman Marathon -2026 at Sri Vijaya Puram to be organized by the Andaman Nicobar Chamber of Commerce & Industry (ANCCI) with support of A&N Administration on February 8, 2026.
Chairing the meeting, the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Sports) expressed her happiness on the restarting of the ‘Andaman Marathon’. She further underlined the need for organizing the event in a grand way with greater participation to put A&N Islands in the global tourism map. The Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Sports) assured that the A&N Administration will provide all required logistic support for the successful conduct of the event at Sri Vijaya Puram.
During the meeting, the President, ANCCI, Dr. K. Chandrasekaran informed that the ANCCI is restarting this event after a gap of 5 years and will put its best effort to make the event an iconic one. He also informed about the different categories of the Marathon for men & women, senior citizens and children.
