CPI (M) Pays Homage to Veteran Communist Leader VS Achuthanandan

Sri Vijaya Puram, July 27: CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee conducted a condolence meeting to condole the death of Comrade VS Achuthanandan, veteran CPI (M) leader and former Chief Minister of Kerala, at CPI (M) State Headquarters at Shaheed Bhavan, Anarkali, Port Blair on 26th July, 2025. The 102-year old legendary Communist leader VS Achuthanandan passed away on 21st July, 2025 at Thiruvananthapuram.  

The meeting was presided over by D. Ayyappan, State Secretary.  He read out a condolence resolution of the Andaman & Nicobar CPI (M). Addressing the gathering, D. Ayyappan said that Com. Achuthanandan was an uncompromising fighter against corruption and all kinds of injustice in the society. State Secretary further said that Achuthanandan will be remembered as a champion for the cause of downtrodden in the society.  Addressing the meeting, KG Das, former State Secretary of the party recalled the 8-decades long struggles conducted by Com. Achuthanandan in Kerala.    

CPI (M) State Secretariat Members D. Laxman Rao, B. Chandrachoodan and Dr Gouranga Majhi also addressed the condolence meeting. Party leaders and party workers of Port Blair town attended the condolence meeting.
