Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 30: The Composite Regional Centre (CRC), A&N Islands, observed World Stroke Day 2025 by organizing an awareness-cum-training programme in collaboration with the ICDS, Directorate of Social Welfare, with a focus on educating Anganwadi Workers about stroke awareness, early identification, and the importance of multidisciplinary rehabilitation at its campus in Brookshabad.
The programme was formally inaugurated by Smti. Sumithamol. S, Director, CRC, A&N Islands. In her inaugural address, she appreciated the dedicated services rendered by Anganwadi Workers at the grassroots level and explained the causes, symptoms, and preventive measures related to stroke. The event was graced by around 50 attendees, including 46 Anganwadi workers from various urban areas of Sri Vijaya Puram.
