Crescendo 2026: Crescent Public School Celebrates Annual Day with Grandeur and Cultural Vibrance

Wimberly Gunj, Jan 12: Crescent Public School, Wimberly Gunj, celebrated its much-awaited Annual Day “Crescendo 2026” with colour, energy and cultural pride at the Mini Stadium, Wimberly Gunj, on 10th January 2026 at 4:00 PM.

The celebration was inaugurated by Shri Shabu K Thomas, IFS, Conservator of Forest (Headquarters), who presided as the Chief Guest. The event was graced by Dr. Manoharan, DEO, Wimberly Gunj Zone, as Guest of Honour, along with PRI members of Ferrar Gunj Tehsil.

In her welcome address, Mrs. M. Saida, Manager of the School, extended warm greetings to the dignitaries and the audience, expressing pride in the school’s journey and achievements.

Welcoming the gathering formally, Shri M Abdul Majeed, President of Crescent Public School, presented a bouquet to the Chief Guest, followed by a floral welcome to the Guest of Honour by the Principal.

Addressing the audience, the Chief Guest, Shri Shabu K Thomas, emphasized the significance of education that nurtures creativity and cultural identity. “Art, culture and education go hand in hand in shaping young minds into confident leaders,” he said.

Guest of Honour Dr. Manoharan, in his remarks, underlined the importance of integrating academics with co-curricular activities for holistic student development.

In his message to the students, Shri MK Mohammed, Secretary of the School, highlighted character-building as the ultimate objective of education.“The future depends not only on knowledge, but on values, we must shape children into responsible human beings,” he noted.

Mrs. N Bhavani Vijayakala, Principal, presented the Annual Report, showcasing academic achievements, co-curricular participation, teacher training initiatives and upcoming plans for growth.

The first session drew to a close with a vote of thanks by P. Mujib Rehman, Managing Committee Member.

The second session of the programme dazzled the audience with a spectacular cultural extravaganza. Beginning with a graceful classical dance, the evening unfolded with skits, melodious songs, traditional and contemporary dance forms, and performances reflecting the cultural diversity of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The event concluded with a warm and appreciative vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Rehana Bibi, Incharge, Primary Section, acknowledging the staff, parents, students and community supporters for making the programme a grand success.

With resounding applause and proud smiles, Crescendo 2026 marked another milestone in Crescent Public School’s commitment to education, character and cultural enrichment.
