CRY Celebrates Children’s Rights Day Junglighat Machchi Basti

Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 2: CRY (Child Rights and You) marked Children’s Rights Day on Nov: 30 with engaging programmes at Junglighat Machchi Basti. Over 73 children & 11 community members participated in activities including drawing, cultural performances, and the popular “Dreams in the Air” activity, where children released paper planes carrying their dreams and aspirations.

Children also shared their understanding of child rights, highlighting the importance of education, play, and freedom to choose their future. All participants received refreshments and small gifts.

CRY representative Mrs. Farida Bibi addressed the gatherings, stressing the collective role of families and communities in safeguarding children’s rights. The events concluded with strong community participation and a renewed commitment to child rights.
