Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept. 8: The Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman is organizing the Inter School Badminton knock out tournament for Under -17 (Boys) and Girls and Under -14 (Boys & Girls) of South Andaman Educational Zone. The matches are being conducted at Multipurpose Hall, Netaji Stadium. Today, the matches for Under 17 Boys were conducted in which Shri. Biswanath Sen, Asst Director (Sports & PE) was the chief guest.
Results of Today’s matches:
In first semi-final of Boys (Singles), Eric James of SSS Carmel defeated Shaurya Goenka of SSS NCS while in the second semi-final, P.Tejeshwar of St. Mary’s School Bhatubasti defeated S.Vinay of St. Mary’s School Mohanpura. The final match will be played between Eric James (SSS Carmel) and P.Tejeshwar Rao of St. Mary’s School Bhatubasti.
In first semi-final of Boys (Doubles), Ansh Kumar Singh and Shaurya Goenka of NCS defeated P.Tejeshwar and Prateek of St. Mary’s School Bhatubasti. In second semifinal, Akshit Boby & Mohd. Faizan Qazi of SSS Carmel defeated Subham & Dhanush of MGIS. The final match will be played between Ansh Kumar Singh & Shaurya Goenka of NCS and Akshit Boby & Mohd. Faizan Qazi of SSS Carmel. The final matches will be played on Sept. 12 from 8.30 onwards.
