Department of Community Medicine ANIIMS and IPHA Conduct Preventive Health Camp Catering to Over 50 Beneficiaries

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 25: Under the aegis of the Department of Community Medicine, ANIIMS, and the Indian Public Health Association (IPHA), a Preventive Health Camp was conducted on May 24, 2025, catering to over 50 beneficiaries from the community. The camp provided specialized medical consultations, free screening for diabetes and hypertension, and essential medicines, ensuring accessible healthcare for all attendees.

The camp featured a team of renowned specialists, including a Pediatrician, Gynecologist and ENT Specialist, who offered comprehensive health check-ups and preventive care advice. Free blood sugar and blood pressure screenings were conducted to detect early signs of diabetes and hypertension, with necessary medications provided on the spot. Patients requiring further evaluation were referred to GB Pant Hospital for advanced care.

The event saw active support from key individuals, including Dr. Sagar (Medical Officer), CHC Bambooflat and Ms. Naseema Bibi, Pradhan, Bambooflat. Little Hearts NGO sponsored snacks boxes and chana packets for distribution among beneficiaries, promoting awareness about iron-rich foods and anemia prevention.

The camp was met with an overwhelming response, with beneficiaries expressing gratitude for the quality healthcare services, timely screenings, and referrals. This initiative reflects the Department of Community Medicine’s unwavering commitment to public health education, early diagnosis, and accessible medical care, fostering a healthier and more informed community.
