Sri Vijaya Puram, July 25: The Department of Tourism, A & N Administration is all set to host the Monsoon Tourism Festival – 2025 at Corbyn’s Cove Beach on 26th and 27th July 2025 from 10 AM onwards, with the technical assistance of the Directorate of Education, A & N Administration. This much-awaited festival promises to be an exciting celebration of the monsoon season, combining beachside sporting competitions with the vibrant spirit of the Islands.
The festival will feature a Beach Volleyball Knockout Tournament, open to all in both Men’s and Women’s categories. Winners and runners-up will be awarded cash prizes of ₹7,000 and ₹5,000 respectively, along with trophies, sponsored by the Department of Tourism. Alongside this, a Tug of War competition will also be held on both days under the Men’s and Women’s categories. Prizes for the Tug of War competition will be sponsored by NHIDCL.
As a special attraction, visitors and participants can enjoy a spectacular Jet Ski formation show by the Andaman Sea Adventure Association (ASAA) at Corbyn’s Cove Beach, adding a thrilling water sports dimension to the festivities.
Through this vibrant initiative, the Department of Tourism aims to highlight the Andaman & Nicobar Islands as a premier beach tourism destination, where eco-tourism, adventure sports, and cultural vibrancy converge to offer a truly unforgettable experience. The festival calls upon locals, tourists, families, and friends to come together and celebrate the essence of unity, sportsmanship, and natural beauty of the Islands during the monsoon season.
Registrations for the Tug of War competition will be done on the spot till 9 AM on 26th July, 2025. Each team must consist of a minimum of 10 members.
