Diglipur, Dec. 16: The Diglipur Zonal Conference of CITU was held at Diglipur on 14.12.2025. Inaugurating the Conference, B. Chandrachoodan, General Secretary, CITU State Committee said that the Modi government at the centre is going ahead with privatization of government sector undertakings one by one, in tune with its policies of liberalization, privatization and globalization. BJP governments have been vigorously pursuing the anti-people policies formulated and introduced by the previous Congress governments. He said that even genuine demands of the workers in the islands are not being resolved by the Modi government and its Administration.
Shri PR Singaram, Pradhan, Gram Panchayat, Subhashgram also addressed the Conference.
Sunil Bepari, President Diglipur Zonal Committee presided. Barun Biswas, Secretary, Zonal Committee presented a brief report on the activities of CITU in Diglipur. A large number of workers form various unions functioning at Diglipur attended the Zonal Conference. Various issues of workers working in Diglipur area were discussed in the Zonal Conference.
