Director of Education Launches Football for School (F4S) with the Theme ‘Phone Nahi Football’

Initiative Aims to Empower Youth and Combat Drug Menace

Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 10: In a significant step towards promoting sports and reducing mobile addiction among children, Shri. Vikram Singh, Director of Education, launched the “Football for School” (F4S) initiative through video conference in 35 F4S centres across the Islands on 10th October 2025 at 4:00 pm. The program will provide advanced football coaching to young enthusiasts in the age group of 8-17 years, with a special focus on girl child development.

Highlights of the Initiative:

* Target Age Group: 8-17 years

* Objective: To promote football and reduce mobile addiction among children

* Slogan: “Phone Nahi Football” (Not Phone, But Football)

* Beneficiaries: Children from 35 centres across the region

Shri. Vikram Singh emphasized that the F4S initiative will not only promote physical fitness but also help curb the growing menace of drug addiction among young children. By encouraging children to take up sports, the program aims to channelize their energy and talent towards more productive and healthy pursuits.
