Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 17: In a significant step towards strengthening grassroots governance and improving public service delivery, the Director, RD, PRIs and ULBS Shri. Dr. Apurva Sharma, A&N Administration, Sri Vijaya Puram laid the foundation stone for the construction of Panchayat Bhavan (D/S) at Gram Panchayat Kanyapuram.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Pradhan Shri. P. Abdul Basheer, GP Kanyapuram, Shri. Shamim Ahamed, Panchayat Samiti Member, Kanyapuram, Shri. P. Mohd. Ali (PRI Member Ward No. KP -01), elected representatives, officials, community leaders, and residents of the village of Gram panchayat Kanyapuram.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director stated that the construction of the Panchayat Bhavan reflects the Government’s commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure and empowering local self-governance institutions. He expressed confidence that the new facility will greatly benefit the residents of Kanyapuram by providing a dedicated space for addressing public grievances and community development initiatives.
The estimated cost of the work is Rs. 3,23,63,901/-. An extent of 0.80 Ha of land has been set a part for the said work in survey no-1/1/2 situated in Kanyapuram village. The project is scheduled to be completed within the stipulated timeframe, ensuring that the people of Kanyapuram can soon utilize the new premises for their administrative and community needs.
The upcoming Panchayat Bhavan will serve as a central hub for administrative activities, public meetings, and delivery of essential civic services. Equipped with modern infrastructure and adequate facilities, the building is expected to enhance transparency, efficiency, and accessibility in local governance.
