Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb. 28: Strengthening its innovative approach to promote reading beyond conventional classrooms, the State Library under the Directorate of Education, Sri Vijaya Puram, launched its Fourth Tent Library at Government Primary School, Attam Pahad yesterday. The initiative aims to integrate reading into students’ daily experiences, making it both enjoyable and meaningful.
Inaugurating the Tent Library as the chief guest, Smti Jothi, Vice-Principal of PM SHRI GSSS Garacharma, highlighted that such innovative initiatives play a vital role in nurturing curiosity and independent learning among children. She encouraged students to explore books beyond textbooks and develop a habit of reading as a lifelong companion.
The programme witnessed active participation of Smti Vijaya Laxmi, Headmistress of GPS Attam Pahad, along with the In-charge of the State Library, students, teachers, librarians, and officials of the Education Department. The Tent Library is equipped with a curated collection of storybooks and age-appropriate reading materials designed to spark imagination and creativity among young readers.
