District Administration, South Andaman Imposes Fines Against Illegal Dumping of Earth

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 7: The District Administration, South Andaman has taken strict action against violators who were indulged in illegal dumping of earth in contravention of Land Revenue Regulations.

During a recent field inspection at Garacharma village, revenue officials detected unauthorized dumping of approximately 30 cubic meters of earth. A fine of ₹18,000 (Rupees Eighteen Thousand only) was imposed on the offenders, and further legal action is being pursued.

The Deputy Commissioner has issued a stern warning to all such unscrupulous elements indulging in illegal mining, earth transportation and unauthorized dumping. Further the District Administration, South Andaman reiterates that such illegal activities will not be tolerated. Strict penal action will be taken against all violators. The law will take its own course and those who attempt to bypass it, will face the consequences.

The general public is hereby advised to follow all legal provisions concerning land use, mining and material movement. Any suspicious activities related to illegal dumping, mining or transportation of earth and minerals may be reported immediately to the District Control Room on the designated helpline numbers 03192-240127/ 238881 / 1070 or through WhatsApp at 9531888844. The District Administration, South Andaman assures that the identities of those providing information will be kept in strict confidence to ensure their security and protection.
