Several issues of public importance were deliberated, with clear instructions issued to achieve prompt resolution.

The meeting placed strong emphasis on expediting land conversion for eligible cases, recognizing the long-standing delays that have hindered residential, commercial, and community development projects across the islands. Recent resumption of this process, facilitated through digital platforms like the Dweep Bhoomi portal, underscores the Administration’s commitment to streamlining approvals and empowering landowners.

Deliberations also advanced the development of a Master Plan for the Diglipur area, with the Chief Secretary stressing continuous stakeholder participation to craft a scientific, practical, and implementable framework. A key focus was identifying government buildings suitable for solar roofing to promote renewable energy adoption and reduce dependency on conventional sources.

Special attention was devoted to water scarcity, exploring preservation and harvesting methods from diverse sources, including ring wells constructed by Panchayats. The Chief Secretary directed the Andaman Public Works Department (APWD) to comprehensively map these ring wells, assessing water availability and quality for strategic use during shortages to meet essential community needs.

On potable water quality concerns, the Chief Secretary instructed APWD to demonstrate field testing kits in all Panchayats, Government establishments, and schools, equipping residents with practical skills to monitor and ensure safe drinking water standards.

Regarding stray animals, PRIs were tasked with assessing gaushala establishment for cattle and identifying volunteers for training in animal capture and management techniques.

Power scarcity challenges were addressed, with the Chief Secretary highlighting the transformative grid connectivity project linking North & Middle Andaman, poised to resolve longstanding supply issues for residents.

Recognizing the transformative power of sports in youth development and community engagement, the Chief Secretary emphasized the role of athletic pursuits in fostering personal growth and social cohesion.
