Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 13: The Directorate of IP&T, A&N Administration is in the process of amending of the existing Scuba Diving Guidelines to streamline operations, and aligned with international best practices in underwater adventure tourism. As part of this initiative, the Directorate has held detailed consultations with leading dive training and certification agencies. The valuable inputs and suggestions received from the expert bodies have been duly considered while framing the draft amendments.
The draft revised guidelines are now being placed in the public domain for a period of 30 days to ensure transparency and wider participation. The Directorate invites feedback, comments and suggestions from all stakeholders including registered dive centres, operators, general public and concerned line Departments to help make the guidelines more comprehensive and practical.
All feedback and suggestions may be submitted to Directorate of IP&T, Sri Vijaya Puram within the stipulated time period i.e. 14.11.2025. Inputs found relevant and constructive will be suitably incorporated into the final version of the guidelines. The proposed amendments aim to enhance the safety sustainability and quality of diving in the A&N Islands. The draft revised guidelines are placed in the official website of Tourism Department https://tourism.andamannicobar.gov.in
