Mayabunder, Feb. 5: In terms of the provisions contained under Section 135C of the Representation of the People Act 1951 and A&N Excise Policy 2013 Clause 4.3 (a) (7) read with Director of Panchayat & Municipal Elections letter No.1-53/BE/PRI/E-Cell/2024-25/Vol-II/606 dated 20th January 2026, the Deputy Commissioner/District Magistrate, North & Middle Andaman District has ordered the following days to be observed as “Dry Days” in connection with “the Bye Election to Gram Panchayat Member Constituencies of Madhupur-6 of Gram Panchayat Madhupur under Diglipur Tehsil, Zilla Parishad Member Constituency Mayabunder under Mayabunder Tehsil and Bakultala-3 of Gram Panchayat Bakultala under Rangat Tehsil”.

10/02/2026 (Tuesday): Counting Day
No liquor shops, hotels, restaurants, clubs and establishments selling/serving liquor in the entire area of Gram Panchayat Madhupur, Zilla Parishad Constituency (Mayabunder, Pokkadera, Rampur) and Gram Panchayat Bakultala shall be permitted to sell/serve liquor to anyone whosoever on the aforesaid day.
People are also requested to keep themselves away from consuming any kind of spirituous and fermented liquor/wines or display the same for sale on the above date.
This order is applicable to all the IMFL vending licences i.e ANIIDCO, Police Mess, CSD Canteen, Defence Canteen and private bars functioning at above mentioned jurisdiction.
