Sri Vijaya Puram, March 31: The Directorate of Tourism, A&N Administration, is organizing a ‘Surfing Festival’ at Little Andaman from 9th to 12th April, 2026, with the objective of promoting the Islands as a premier destination for water sports and adventure tourism. The event is expected to witness participation from international and national surfers, along with tourists, local enthusiasts, and officials of the Administration.
In this regard, the Directorate of Shipping Services has arranged special sailings of the vessel MV Nalanda to Little Andaman to facilitate convenient travel for participating surfers, tourists, general public, and Government officials.
The sailings will be operated as per the following schedule:
Passenger tickets for the above sailing will be issued from 02.04.2026 (Thursday) onwards. The general public and participants are advised to make their travel arrangements well in advance.
Tickets can be booked through the DSS e-Ticketing Portal at https://dss.andamannicobar.gov.in/eticketing, which is available 24×7 on all days. For user convenience, a QR code linking directly to the portal has also been provided.
Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased from STARS Ticketing Counters on all working days from 9 am to 4 pm and on Saturdays from 9 am to 12 pm.
