Sri Vijaya Puram, Nov. 3: The Block Project Officer, Samagra Shiksha, South Andaman, is organizing the First Block-Level CwSN (Children with Special Needs) Inclusive Sports Meet at GSSS Bhatubasti School Ground on 3rd & 4th November 2025.
Inaugurating the program as the chief guest, Shri Vikram Singh, Director (Education & Sports) emphasized the importance of encouraging CwSN students to actively participate in sports and physical activities. He instructed all PETs and PSRTs to provide maximum opportunities for these children to play, practice, and showcase their talents in various sports disciplines. He further assured that the Department will extend all possible support and facilities to promote sports at the school level.
The initiative aims to develop students’ physical fitness, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship, thereby nurturing a healthy and confident young generation. The two-day event aims to promote inclusiveness, participation and equal opportunities for children with special needs, while integrating them with their peers in sports and physical activities.
The meet will include track & field events, motor-skill based activities and team games suitable for CwSN participants, ensuring full support, accessibility, and safety.
