
Sri Vijaya Puram, May 19: The first phase of the Capacity Building Training Programme for Primary School Teachers working under the Department of Education commenced today at three different venues viz. DIET Garacharma, GSSS Mohanpura, and GMSSS Aberdeen, where a total of 294 participants are attending the programme.
This initiative aims to enhance the skills and knowledge of Primary School Teachers, ensuring alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes early childhood education and teacher development. By strengthening foundational teaching strategies, the programme seeks to empower educators with modern pedagogical approaches, fostering a more engaging and effective learning environment for young students.
DIET Garacharma, in collaboration with the State Institute of Education, Sri Vijaya Puram, is leading this Capacity Building programme. The Department of Education has planned the training in six phases, covering approximately 1,466 Primary School Teachers during summer vacation period, ensuring comprehensive participation and maximum impact.
By equipping teachers with advanced methodologies, the programme aspires to elevate the standard of primary education, creating a more enriched learning experience for children. This initiative highlights the commitment towards continuous teacher development, which is pivotal in shaping the future of education.
