
Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 9: The 51st National Women’s Chess Championship 2025 is currently underway in West Bengal, drawing around 140 enthusiastic participants from across the country. The prestigious event has brought together some of India’s finest women chess players, all competing with great zeal and determination for top honours.
Four women players from the Andaman & Nicobar Islands viz T. Anita, T. Dweepika, B. Pravina, and Rachel Mary are among those competing in the prestigious event.
The championship is being held in 11 rounds in the classical format, spread over 11 days from 3rd December to 13th December 2025.
The Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) has extended its best wishes to the players.
