Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 1: Demonstrating unwavering commitment to combating unlawful activities, staff of Police Station Aberdeen once again exhibited commendable diligence in their ongoing efforts to eradicate gambling from their jurisdiction.
On 25/07/2025, upon credible information of gambling activities at Prem Nagar area, swiftly a team was constituted led by Insp. Vishal Ram, SHO PS Aberdeen along with PSI Abhishek G.S.P, Head Constable Sunil Singh Yadav and Constables Surender Singh Yadav, Jayraj, Jagdish Babu, P.Mohd. Rafique, Surjit Das, R.Rahul Kumar, Tapan Kumar Bhattacharya, Suraj Tiwari, Arun Govind, V.Mohd. Asique, Praveen Kumar Yadav, Touseef Razack, R.Pavitra and Dorothy. The team swiftly swung into action and conducted raid in a rented house of Vijay S/o Late Babulall R/o Prem Nagar, Near Telegu Church.
The team promptly acted and conducted a raid at a rented residence belonging to Vijay S/o Late Babulall located near the Telugu Church at Prem Nagar. The operation was executed with precision and efficiency, resulting in the apprehension of all seventeen individuals found actively engaged in gambling. During the course of the raid, a total sum of Rs. 61,100/- was recovered, which included Rs. 48,700/- as stake money and Rs. 12,400/- recovered during the personal search of the individuals involved. All the individuals involved in the gambling have been booked under Sections 5/7 of the Andaman and Nicobar Gambling Regulation, 1951.
The raid was conducted under the supervision of Shri. Ajay Kumar Rai, DANIPS, Sub Divisional Police Officer, South Andaman and overall direction of Shri. Manoj Kumar Meena, IPS, Sr. Superintendent of Police, South Andaman District.
