
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 28: The Global Academy of Modern Fitness (GAMF) celebrated the champions who brought glory to our islands by excelling at South Zone, Khelo India Women Leagues, National, Khelo India Beach Games, and International levels, marking a golden chapter in our state’s history.
GAMF continues to make history in the field of Martial Arts, achieving remarkable success with over 200 medals at various championships — particularly in Pencak Silat (Indonesian Martial Art) and Karate.
The Academy has trained most of the schools and floors in Sri Vijaya Puram Viz. Mahatma Gandhi International School, St. Mary Bathubasthi Branch, Biggie Line, Saraswathi Shishu Mandir, etc.
The backbone of this incredible journey is Shihan M.S. Murugan, Founder and Grand Master of GAMF, whose vision and dedication have guided the team to excellence. National Coach and Senior Player Logarjun also played a key role in these achievements, along with the constant support from the GAMF management team and parents.
The 2nd GAMF Academy Cup was celebrated with great pride at the Yadav Association Hall, Bengali Club, South Andaman. The event was graced by esteemed guests Shri Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, Shri Azizur Rahman (former Vice Chairperson of the SVPMC), Shri N. K. Udhay Kumar (Ex Chairperson SVPMC), Smt. Sumithamol. S (Director, CRC Brookshabad) and among others.
On the occasion special acknowledgement were given to Shri Mohammed Iqbal (CEO – Indian Pencak Silat Federation) & Karate and Respected Shri Soke K. Ananthan (Grand Master Malaysia). Their inspiring presence and kind words added immense value to the ceremony, and the students of GAMF felt truly honoured to share this memorable occasion with them.
