Grand Patriotic Celebration to be Organised Andaman, Marking Over 116 Years of the Timeless Ode “Sāgara Pran Talamalala…”

Mumbai, Dec. 7: “…Sāgara Pran Talamalala…,” these immortal lines have ignited the flame of patriotism in the hearts of countless Indians. It has been 116 years since Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar composed this iconic poem, with the waves of the sea as his witness. Marking this historic occasion, the Valuable Group has organized a grand commemorative event titled “Sāgara Pran Talamalala” on December 12, 2025, at 3.00p.m. at Sri Vijaya Puram, Port Blair.

On this occasion, a majestic statue of Swatantryaveer Savarkar will be unveiled at Beodanabad by the sea. The unveiling will be conducted by the Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Hon. Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, in the esteemed presence of Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah.

The statue has been conceptualized and brought to life by Shri Ameya Hete, Founder of the Mumbai based Valuable Group. This monument will stand as a vibrant symbol of Savarkar’s unwavering nationalism, sacrifice, and fearless ideology. The statue has been designed and made by Shri Ram Sutar who was recently awarded the Maharashtra Bhushan.

Maharashtra’s Cultural Affairs and IT Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar will attend as a distinguished guest, along with several eminent personalities including Padma Shri Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Usha Mangeshkar, Randeep Hooda, Dr. Vikram Sampath, and Sharad Ponkshe.

Soulful performances of patriotic songs will elevate the event further, offering a melodious and heartfelt tribute to Savarkar’s literary and cultural legacy on behalf of the Valuable Group.

A special presentation of Savarkar’s stirring composition “Ne Majasi Ne Parat Matrubhumila, Sāgara Pran Talamalala…” will be showcased during the program by Padmabushan Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Usha tai Mangeshkar and his team. Additionally, other works penned by Savarkar and composed by Hridaynath Mangeshkar ji including ‘Jayostute…,’ ‘Jai Jai Shivrayā…, and ‘He Hindu Nrisinghā…’will also be performed. These renditions will once again echo Savarkar’s deep and intense love for the motherland.
