Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan. 8: All fishers, fish farmers, fish workers, fish vendors, Fisheries Development Corporations, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) in the Fisheries Sector, Fisheries Co-operatives, Fisheries Federations, and Fish Farmer Producer Organizations (FFPOs) and persons engaged in fisheries and allied activities under South Andaman District have been requested to register their names in the National Fisheries Development Platform (NFDP) of National Fisheries Development Board to avail coverage under the Group Accident Insurance Scheme (GAIS) implemented under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY).
Eligible beneficiaries may approach their nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for registration in NFDP portal (https://nfdp.dof.gov.in/nfdp/#/) or approach Fishery Officers/station In-charges of their respective areas/Fisheries Sub-stations under South Andaman District/ Zonal Fisheries office for registration and further assistance.
