Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 23: The 35th Annual Athletic Meet 2025-26 of GSS Delanipur was held in the premises of the school today. Shri. Shahul Hameed, Chairperson, Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council graced the function as chief guest and declared the meet open after administering oath to the sports persons in the presence of Smt. Pushpa Devi Mishra, Principal, Rabindra Bangla Vidhyalaya as guest of honour.
In his address, the Chairperson reiterated the importance of sports in life along with academics for overall development of students. He informed that sports is the only field which teaches sportsmanship and leadership qualities which enables one to take up challenging tasks in the true spirit of achieving goals. He also gave away prizes to students who had excelled in various activities.
Shri. Ramzan Ali, PRI Member/Councillor, SVPMC (Ward No. 3) and Member, SMDC of this school was the chief guest of the closing ceremony while Shri Bhanu Prakash, Junior Engineer, APWD attended the function as guest of honour. In his address, Shri Ramzan Ali lauded the efforts of students in showcasing their abilities and informed that, the school has always been in the forefront in all spheres. Earlier, Shri Mohammed Younus, Headmaster (SS), GSS Delanipur welcomed the gathering.
