Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct. 31: ICAR–Central Island Agricultural Research Institute (CIARI), Sri Vijaya Puram, celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31st October 2025 with great enthusiasm to commemorate the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India. The event was observed simultaneously at the Institute Headquarters, Sri Vijaya Puram, and the Regional Station, Minicoy.
The celebration began with the administration of the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge by all staff members, reaffirming their dedication to uphold the spirit of unity, integrity, and security of the nation. A total of 134 staff members participated in the pledge across both locations.
Following the pledge, a Unity Run was organized within the campus to promote the message of national integration, collective strength, and harmony among the staff. Participants carried banners emphasizing the significance of “Unity in Diversity” in building a strong and inclusive nation.
As part of the observance, a short documentary film on “Sardar Vallabhai Patel Life & Work” was screened, highlighting the cultural and linguistic diversity of India and underlining the importance of mutual understanding, respect, and cooperation among its citizens.
The entire event was conducted under the guidance and supervision of Dr. Jai Sunder, Director (A), ICAR–CIARI.
