ICDS Rangat Celebrates ‘Beti Janmotsav’

Rangat, Feb. 26: To honor the birth of the girl child and promote gender equality, the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Project, Rangat, organized a vibrant celebration of ‘Beti Janmotsav’ on Feb. 23 & 24. The event, held at Community Hall Dasratpur, & Parnasala Panchayat Hall, Rangat, aimed to celebrate the birth of the girl child and foster a culture of gender equality within the community.

The event was held under the flagship ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ (BBBP) program, aiming to create a festive and supportive environment for new parents in the region. The highlight of the event was the ceremonial presentation of New Born Baby Kits to the newborn girl children. These kits, designed to provide essential care and hygiene for the infants, were presented to the families as a symbol of the community’s commitment to the girl child’s well-being and future.

The Beti Janmotsav under the ICDS Project Rangat continues to be a cornerstone of the BBBP program, ensuring that the message of ‘Save the Girl Child, Educate the Girl Child’ begins right at birth.
