IDE Bootcamp 2026 – Day 3 Focuses on Prototyping & Business Strategy at DBRAIT

Sri Vijaya Puram, April 8: The third day of the IDE Bootcamp 2026 at Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) marked a significant transition from problem identification to solution development, with the theme “From Prototype to Business.”

Under the guidance of Shri Sarim Moin, Innovation Officer, MoE Innovation Cell and Ms. Anbumathi, Innovation Venture Catalyst and Design Thinking Expert from Wadhwani Foundations, participants were introduced to the practical aspects of prototyping and business strategy. The sessions emphasised that a prototype is not a finished product but a tool to test assumptions quickly and cost-effectively. Participants explored the concept of the Minimum Viable Product (MVP), focusing on delivering core value by addressing critical user pain points while avoiding unnecessary features.

The sessions further focused on the Lean Canvas model, enabling participants to structure their ideas into viable business frameworks. Key elements such as value proposition, customer segments, revenue streams, cost structure, and “unfair advantage” were discussed, providing insights into building sustainable and competitive start-ups.

In order to give the participants experiential and field based real life exposure, the students were taken for the guided Start-up tour to Ganesh Flour Mill and Andaman Organic Products, Bird Line, Sri Vijaya Puram.

Overall, Day 3 marked a shift from creative ideation to structured execution, equipping participants with the tools to transform prototypes into market-ready solutions aligned with real-world needs.
