Kamorta, Oct. 12: The ICDS Nancowry (Tribal Project) under the Directorate of Social Welfare organized an awareness program on the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Government Senior Secondary School, Champin. The program aimed to educate children about the law and protect them from sexual offences besides promoting awareness about good and bad touch.

Port Blair, Oct. 12: As part of the Special Campaign 3.0 for institutionalizing Swachahata and minimizing pendency in Government Offices in A&N Administration from Oct.2 to 31,2023. As part of this initiative, the Administrative Reforms and Training Wing of the Administration has identified 15 Sites/Offices for carrying out cleanliness drive. Today, the cleanliness drive was conducted in the Office of the Archives, A&N Secretariat in coordination with PBMC along with house-keeping persons and the staff of Archives as part of #Special Campaign 3.0 in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI has deeply mourned the sad demise of Shri Jay Kishen (Aged 70 Yrs), S/o Late Mansa Ram R/o Garacharma, who left for heavenly abode on 12.10.2023 at his residence. Port Blair, Oct. 11: The Member of Parliament, Shril. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has demanded posting of at least one General Surgeon, an Anesthetist, and an Orthopedic Surgeon at the District Hospital in Mayabunder.

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the Member of Parliament said that the District Hospital in Mayabunder has long been designated as the primary medical facility for North & Middle Andaman. However, despite its crucial role, the hospital has been operating under severe constraints due to a shortage of specialist doctors.
