Port Blair, June 22: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 172 passengers who arrived here yesterday, three positive cases have been detected. Today, 12 flights with 1848 passengers arrived, out of which, 1578 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 215 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, June 22: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,83,222 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,567 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years and 13,218 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 years. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 26,974.

Port Blair, June 21: The Andaman Association of Tour Operators celebrated International Day of Yoga with various programmes in Port Blair & Swaraj Dweep. AATO in association with Ayush and Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India organised Aquatic Yoga at hotel Sea Port in Dollygunj. Divers from Coast Guard demonstrated Aquatic Yoga in the swimming pool.

Port Blair, June 21: Together with the rest of the country and world, the 8th edition of International Yoga Day (IDY) was celebrated in A&N Islands too in a befitting manner today. The main function was held in the precincts of the iconic National Memorial Cellular Jail. Dr Munjpara Mahendrabhai, Hon’ble Union Minister of State for Women & Child Development and AYUSH was the chief guest on the occasion while Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd), Hon’ble Lt Governor, A&N Islands & Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency was the guest of honour.
