Port Blair, May 20: The two-day Island Music Festival organized by Directorate of Tourism is all set to begin tomorrow (May 21) at Corbyn's Cove. During the day, patriotic singing competition will be organized for walk- in tourists at Cellular Jail by the Art & Culture Department. This will be followed by live singing competition and live band late in the evening.

Port Blair, May 20: The Directorate of Shipping Services will be operating the cargo vessel MV Chuglam between Port Blair and Southern Group of Islands twice in a month (i.e. on 1st and 15th of every month). All Departments/ Consigners are hereby informed to avail the sailings and book the required quantity of cargo to be transhipped from the Commercial Wing of DSS well in advance.

Port Blair, May 20: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,79,047 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,464 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 12,172 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 23148.

Port Blair, May 20: Continuing its zero tolerance policy towards encroachment on government land, the revenue department of South Andaman District carried out eviction drive committed over Government land at Port Blair Tehsil.

Port Blair, May 20: During RAT conducted on 73 passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive case has been detected. At Helipad 1passenger was tested with RAT and the report was negative. At Mohanpura Bus Terminus, test was conducted on 37 passengers, no positive case has been detected. At Phoenix Bay Jetty, 47 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected. RTPCR test was conducted at Haddo Wharf on 70 passengers who arrived from Vizag by the sailing of MV Campbell bay, the report is awaited.
