Port Blair, Dec. 30: The 2nd A&N State School Chess Championship 2022 for school children was organised by Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) in association with Rotary Club Port Blair today at Govt. Girls Sr. Sec. School Auditorium, Port Blair.

Smit. Veddita Reddy, IAS, Secretary (Education & Sports) was the chief guest for the inaugural ceremony who made the first move to kick the Championship 2022 while Smti, Sangeeta Chand, Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman graced the occasion as the guest of honour

Port Blair, Dec. 30: The NGO (WITH YOU) identified an elderly women Smti. Parvatiamma at Haddo. She doesn't have a home to stay and she begs for food to survive. She has nobody else to turn to. Observing her situation, the President WITH YOU requested the Director Social Welfare to give accommodation for her in the old age home for women at Attampahad

Port Blair, Dec. 30: The ICAR-Krishi Vigyan Kendra, South Andaman conducted a three days training programme on “Importance of Balanced Nutrition for Women and Children” for Extension Functionaries from 27th to 29th December 2022 at its campus. The objective of the programme was to upscale the knowledge of Anganwadi workers regarding Food and Nutritional needs of Women and Children.
