Port Blair, Mar. 11: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,08,563 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,231 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 9148.

Port Blair, Mar. 11: During RAT conducted on 48passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive case has been detected. At Mohanpura Bus Terminus, test was conducted on 23 passengers, no positive case has been detected. At Phoenix Bay Jetty, 45 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected. At Helipad, 8 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected. RT-PCR test was conducted on 22 passengers  arrived from Chennai by the sailing of M.V. Campbell-bay and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, March 9: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, A&N Islands to provide a Mobile Veterinary Clinic cum Operation Theatre in the Islands so that serious cases of animals/pets could be attended anywhere and operated on the spot.

It is brought to notice of electricity consumers and general public that urgent preventive maintenance at 33/11KV Phoenix Bay Sub-Station will be carried on 12.03.2022, from 0800 Hrs. to 1100 Hrs. In this connection, power supply will remain suspended on 12.03.2022 (Saturday) from 0800 Hrs. to 1100 Hrs. in the following area:-

Port Blair, March 9: The Coast Guard component of HQ Andaman and Nicobar Command undertook Search and Rescue operation of MFV Sri Lalitha, which was drifting 18 nm from Little Andaman Island due to a defective engine. The boat had sailed out from Junglighat on 02 Mar 22 with 06 crew onboard for fishing. MFV Sri Lalitha reported the distress to Coast Guard on 05 Mar 22 using Distress Alert Transmitter (DAT).
