Port Blair, Jan. 19: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 124 passengers who arrived here yesterday, 43 positive cases have been detected. Today, 8 flights with 538 passengers arrived, out of which, 431passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 102 passengers (1 foreign traveler) and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, Jan 19: Continuing to ensure that the people are secured and have necessary tools like mask and sanitizers to fight the corona virus, team Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi when approached by the local residents of Round Basti and briefed about the families who are not in state to buy mask and Sanitizers, the team reached out to around 100 families with masks and sanitizer in the area.

Port Blair, Jan 19: The 12th ‘National Voters’ Day’ will be celebrated befittingly in A&N Islands on January 25, 2022 together with the rest of the country as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. In this connection, a meeting was held under the Chairmanship of the Chief Electoral Officer, A&N Islands, Shri Binay Bhushan in the Mini Conference Hall of the Secretariat to discuss and finalize various activities to be carried out with the ensuing ‘National Voters’ Day’ celebrations in Isles.

Port Blair, Jan 19: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for linking vocational education and training to higher education for trainees attached to National Skill Training Institutes (NSTI), ITIs, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendras (PMKK) and Jan Shikshan Sansthans (JSS) for their upward mobility.
