Port Blair, April 11: The President, Nicobar Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Shri Rashid Yusoof has declared that the NCCI is not a part of the Trade Bandh to be organised on 12th April 2023. This communication is on behalf of all the members of NCCI, Federation of Tribal Council of Nicobars, Tribal Development Council, Tribal Development Cooperative Society, Rani Laxmi Social Organisation, Nicobar Youth Association, Nicobar Indigenous People Organisation, all youth club in Nicobar District and Nicobar Athletics Association, said Yusoof.

Diglipur, April 11: Like every year, this year also Baba Tarakeshwar Puja was performed at Diglipur with great enthusiasm. This year the Member of Parliament of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma participated in the puja.

On the last Monday of Chaitra Month this puja is performed every year at Diglipur and for this puja devotees keep fast for several days.

Port Blair, April 11: The two-day District Convention of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), Port Blair was held during 8th and 9th April 2023 in Saraswati Sishu Mandir, Pathergudda, Port Blair. The convention was inaugurated by Swami Prarthananandaji Maharaj, Secretary Ramakrishna Mission, Port Blair and Dr Hemant Kumar Sharma, Principal, JNRM, Port Blair. Earlier the ABVP flag was hoisted jointly by the president ABVP, ANI Dr. Santosh Kumar Jha and Secretary Susri. Seema Kumari in the presence of students, teachers from different colleges of the city and other invited guests.

Port Blair, April 11: The Department Related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Home Affairs will be arriving here tomorrow (April 12) on a five-day visit to A&N Islands. During the visit, the Committee is scheduled to visit various places of tourist interest. On April 13, the Committee will visit National Memorial Cellular Jail.
