Port Blair, June 16: Few of the general public/Garage workshop owners have left their used vehicles abandoned on the road side causing hindrance to the free movement of vehicular traffic. Hence, the general public/Garage workshop owners are advised not to park their vehicles by the road side, if found suitable action will be taken as per Motor Vehicle Act and other acts accordingly.

Port Blair, June 15: Having learnt about 48 islanders stranded at Kolkata since past three months, with no money to even avail the ship tickets, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee, President and MP Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma immediately directed the President, Andaman & Nicobar Youth Congress, Shri. John Robert Babu to arrange for their transportation from Durgapur to Khidirpur in Kolkatta.

Port Blair, June 15: On 14/06/2020, a complaint was received from the Chief General Manager, State Bank of India, Port Blair that the ATM installed near STS Department was vandalized by some miscreant. On the receipt of information, immediately District Special team comprising SI P. Jeevan, SI M.A Rasheed, ASIs Surya Narayan & Sanjay Yadow, PCs S Neelkant Rao, Suresh, Vinod Linea, Bipul Halder, Santosh Kumar, Nanak Singh & A. Raja Rao under Inspector Sanjay Kumar, SHO PS Aberdeen swung into action. On spot inspection, it has been found that the ATM was fully damaged. However, the cash could not be stolen away as the unknown person was unable to break the ATM cash box.

Port Blair, June 15: Lieutenant General Manoj Pande, AVSM, VSM inspected the Joint Forces Guard of Honour at INAS Utkrosh on 15th Jun 2020 on taking over as the 15th Commander-in-Chief of the Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN). Lieutenant General Manoj Pande assumed responsibilities of CINCAN on 01st Jun 2020. The ceremonial parade comprising of personnel of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard was commanded by Commander Siddharth Raut. The personnel on parade strictly adhered to Covid related precautions and guidelines while presenting the Guard of Honour.
