Port Blair, Feb 9: The Andaman Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has requested the Administration to resolve the load shedding issue being faced by the islanders in the South Andaman District.
In his letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Halder said that due to frequent power cuts in various localities of South Andaman, the islanders were facing an immense disappointment towards the Electricity Department.

Port Blair, Feb 9: WITH YOU (NGO) today organized a successful awareness program focused on women's health and hygiene in Sunder Colony, Haddo. The program aimed to educate and empower women on the importance of maintaining good health and hygiene.
Dr. Mehrubin, Junior Doctor at ANIIMS, was the keynote speaker at the event. She spoke about the various ways women can maintain good health and the importance of daily hygiene. Dr. Mehrubin also highlighted the diseases that can be caused by poor personal hygiene and encouraged the participants to ask questions and voice their concerns.

Port Blair, Feb 9: Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh has requested the Chief Secretary, Andaman & Nicobar Administration that a rumour is spread among the working DRMs that the Administration is against the labourers and preparing for filing appeal against the judgment of Hon’ble High Court in Hon’ble Supreme Court of India for granting 1/30th to all eligible DRMs.

Port Blair, Feb 9: The Nagarpalika Shramik Sangh (CITU) staged a mass demonstration in front of the Port Blair Municipal Council office at Aberdeen Bazar, Port Blair today (9th Feb 2023) afternoon, demanding (i) regularisation of services of daily rated mazdoors (ii) grant of 1/30th of pay plus DA to all DRMs and (iii) grant of Bonus to all DRMs in PBMC.

Port Blair, Feb 9: Community participation sessions were conducted by civilian employees as well as their family members, to clean and preserve the flora and fauna in and around NYK Premises Garacharma on 08/02/2023.
On the occasion Shri Sanjay Kumar, State President, Human Right Association & President Andaman Nicobar Blood Donor Association was Chief Guest. Dr Milan Halder & Dr Sunitha Patil, Lecturer, JNRM were the Special Guests. The programme was organized by Mr Gopal Chander Biswas, Program Assistant, Nehru Yuva Kendra, Port Blair.
