Port Blair, Nov. 9: Firing practice will be carried out by Indian Coast Guard at Chinthe Range Brichgunj on Nov. 16 and Nov. 23 from 9.30 am to 5 pm. All concerned have been warned to keep themselves and their livestock away from the firing area.

Port Blair, Nov. 9: Hon’ble Justice Subrata Talukdar and Hon’ble Justice Rabindranath Samanta, Judges of Calcutta High Court shall be sitting/holding Circuit Court at Port Blair from Nov. 14 to Nov. 25.

Port Blair, Nov. 8: The Member of Parliament of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has highlighted some of the crucial issues of Little Andaman with the Chief Secretary of Andaman and Nicobar Administration.

Issues raised by the Member of Parliament are to accord availability of sea sand, opening of stone quarry and mooram quarry, re-opening and functioning of red oil palm plantation and one clerk in Hutbay Tehsil, re-installation of hand-sawing machine and up-gradation of PHC to CHC.

Port Blair, Nov. 9: No COVID positive case has been detected today in A&N Islands. Today, 15 flights with 2444 passengers arrived, out of which, 2182 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 71 passengers and the reports are awaited.  

Port Blair, Nov. 8 Shri Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP has demanded for restarting issuance of ship tickets of Inter-Island as well as Mainland Sectors through Common Services Centers throughout A&N Islands in a letter addressed to Chief Secretary, A&N Administration.

In his letter Jolly wrote that a public welfare service was initiated previously by the A&N Administration for issuance of ship tickets through Common Services Centers (CSC) of our Islands and these services, people from every Islands and every corner were conveniently purchasing the ship tickets for both sectors, without stepping into the limited ticket counters set up by Directorate of Shipping Services.
