Administration will Continue to Pursue Issues Pertaining to Students of DBRAIT, Assures CS

Port Blair, Oct. 20: A delegation of Opposition Parties in the Islands met the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration at his chamber today evening and discussed with him the issues pertaining to the students of DBRAIT. The Chief Secretary   informed the delegation the action taken by the A&N Administration to resolve the issue of DBRAIT students. 

Port Blair, Oct. 20: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to introduce some more Under Graduate courses like Physical Education, Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Microbiology, Forestry and Fisheries to maximise the chance of North & Middle Andaman Students to get employment in high places of local, national and international level.

Port Blair, Oct. 20: The Deputy Commissioner South Andaman, Shri. Suneel Anchipaka, IAS alongwith Adhyaksha ZPSA, Smti. Pramila Kumari and Sub-Divisional Magistrate Shri. Dilkush Meena, IAS, visited Ranchi Basti under Gram Panchayat Mithakhari on 20.10.2022 and interacted with the villagers.

Port Blair, Oct. 20: The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, along with Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SA), Smti Pramila Kumari, Adhyaksha, Zila Parishad, Shri Vinayak Chamadia, IAS (P), shri Rahul Dev Boora, IAS (P), Tehsildar, Ferrargunj, Zila Parishad member, and concerned Gram Pradhan, ward members visited the areas predominantly inhabited by Ranchi community in Mithakhari, Namunaghar, Brindaban, Tushnabad Gram Panchayats.

Port Blair, Oct. 20: Along with the rest of the country, various programmes including medical camps, POSHAN camps, awareness talks are being conducted by the Health Department in various parts of the Islands. Ministry of AYUSH celebrates Ayurveda Day every year on Dhanvantari Jayanti/Dhanteras. The Ministry celebrates it in collaboration with all the Ministries and Departments of Government of India with a campaign for six weeks so that every person of the nation is made aware of traditional system of medicine. The theme for the celebration is ‘Har Din Har Ghar Ayurveda’.
