Port Blair, July 29: The UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has recorded its second death due to Covid-19. A male patient aged 45 years, from Teylerabad succumbed to the infection at around 6.30 pm today at GB Pant. The patient was also suffering from Hypertension and Kidney disorder.

Authorities Fail to Address the Distress Call

Port Blair, July 30: The Doctor at the Health Centre at Chouldari Village in South Andaman District has been confirmed as COVID-19 positive, indicating the spread of virus in the health centre. Yet the Health Centre continues without mandatory testing for the remaining staff posted there. The staffs including paramedics are forced to visit the centre, which remains as an unsafe zone for all.

Ajoy Bairagi  has strongly registered his protest against the undemocratic and autocratic overnight decision of the Chief Secretary, Chetan B. Sanghi to stop the convoys connecting roadways between South Andaman and North & Middle Andaman.
