Port Blair, April 5:  During the RT-PCR test conducted on 227 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. During RAT conducted on 22 passengers bound for North & Middle Andaman at Ferrargunj, no positive case has been detected. At Mohanpura Bus Terminus, test was conducted on 21 passengers, no positive case has been detected.  At Phoenix Bay Jetty, 31 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected. At helipad, 8 passengers were tested with RAT, no positive case has been detected.

Port Blair, April 5: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,11,211 beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above have been vaccinated so far in A&N Islands. Similarly, 23,373 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 10,060 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 11,563.

Port Blair, April 4: The Model Career Centre which is function under aegis of Department of Labour, Employment and Training today organised a Career Guidance Programme for the first time of this kind on the topic of “Civil Services Examination”. The aim was to educate the students and aspirants of the Islands about the syllabus, strategy and methodology to crack these exams. The programme was organised at the Tagore College of Education Auditorium on 04.04.2022 in which more than 350 aspirants of different colleges, schools and other interested youths of the Islands participated.

Port Blair, April 4: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has once again highlighted the unemployment problem of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in Parliament.

Raising the issue again during the Budget Session of Parliament today, Kudeep said that on 14th December 2021 the Andaman & Nicobar Administration issued an order to fill up all vacant posts in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
