Port Blair, April 28: The Directorate of Shipping Services is planning to issue unsold/remaining passenger tickets to Little Andaman/Nancowry/Campbell Bay bound passengers in the vessel Nalanda which is scheduled to sail for Chennai via Little Andaman, Nancowry & Campbell Bay on 30.04.2023 at 0900 hrs from Haddo Wharf. In this regard, passengers who wish to avail the above sailing upto Little Andaman, Nancowry & Campbell Bay may purchase their tickets on April 29, 2023 from 1000 hrs onwards at STARS Ticketing Counters.

Port Blair, April 28: The vessel MV Campbell Bay will now sail for Little Andaman in place of vessel Sindhu on April 29, 2023 at 2100 hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on April 30, 2023 at 1300 hrs instead of 0800 hrs from Little Andaman. In this regard, Little Andaman bound passengers those who are holding their tickets of the vessel Sindhu have been requested to avail the above sailing ofMV Campbell Bay on April 29, 2023 at 2100 hrs from Haddo Wharf with the same ticket.

Port Blair, April, 27: Shri Arjun Munda, Hon'ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs, GoI arrived here today on a 4 days visit to A&N Islands. On arrival, Hon'ble Union Minister was received by the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Keshav Chandra, IAS and other Senior Officers of A&N Administration at the Airport. The Chief Secretary presented flower bouquets and welcomed the Hon'ble Union Minister of Tribal Affairs.

Port Blair, April 27: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Lt. Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands to consider constructing a 50-bedded guest house specifically designed for Divyang people in Port Blair.
In a letter addressed to the Lt. Governor, the Member of Parliament mentioned that he has been informed by a large number of Divyang brothers and sisters that they face immense difficulty in carrying out their daily activities in Port Blair city, whenever they visit Port Blair from remote Islands.

Nancowry, April 27: Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency who is on visit to Southern Group of Islands reached Nancowrie Island today. He took passage overnight in MV Nalanda from Haddo Jetty, Port Blair and interacted with Officers/crew enroute. On arrival at Nancowrie, the Lt Governor was received by Senior Officers of Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Andaman & Nicobar Police & Tribal representatives.
